Speaking Topics: Marketing 101

Before becoming a published author, Jennifer worked full-time in the Marketing & Communications field and it gave her extensive knowledge in how to build an online platform and market her books. As the publicist consultant for Hartline Literary Agency, she advises clients on book launches, industry changes, technological advancements, building social media connections, and expanding their online platform via a community of channels and avenues. 

This workshop provides the basics of how to begin to promote oneself as a serious writer/author. We will cover traditional and online promotion, networking, public relations, using a publicist, and the importance of building a platform before you're even published. (For writers who are currently seeking publication and/or newly contracted authors, or for newly published authors seeking ideas on how to expand their platform.)
